In the Spring, Callingwood-Lymburn Community Playschool hosts a Family Dance and Silent Auction to raise funds for our school while having fun with our entire families! There will be music and dancing, snacks and refreshments, and the Silent Auction will be set up for browsing while the dance is happening. This year’s event will be on MARCH 6, 2020.

Donations of items to be used for the Silent Auction will be accepted in advance, and will be sorted and wrapped as needed to offer as auction items. Community businesses and groups will be approached for donations by playschool parents and committee members, and this list of requests will be kept outside of the classroom to ensure that there are not repeated requests of the same business.

Personal donations of single or groups of items are appreciated as well! Sometimes we have received gifts that just don’t suit us, and those items could be regifted to the playschool and be useful. Keep us in mind when finding all of those great holiday and boxing week sales! Those great bargains could make a wonderful donation in support of our playschool.
Great ideas for donation items are things such as gift certificates for stores or restaurants; tickets to sporting events or other experiences; collectible items; sports memorabilia; new toys; or anything that can be combined into gift baskets to make an appealing auction item for the families attending the dance. The possibilities are endless.
